孟加拉国当局说，一艘载有至少2百名乘客的超载渡船在孟加拉国东部一条河中沉没。
警方说，这艘渡船在首都达卡以南大约30公里处沉没后，50名乘客已经获救。
有关官员说，目前还不清楚事故原因，也不知道究竟有多少人幸免遇难。
由于船只安全标准很低，经常超载，孟加拉国的渡船事故频繁发生。
