Good. Now let’s cut through the red tape to get Taiwan the equipment they need. https://t.co/bmk0vsDFet

"The U.S. plans to deploy between 100 and 200 troops to the island in the coming months, up from roughly 30 there a year ago, according to U.S. officials."So, a bigger but not yet big US troop presence on Taiwan.Exclusive from @nancyayoussef & @glubold https://t.co/FRIuR1fOaF

As frustrating as it can be that things are moving slowly, there are some v encouraging developments. This is excellent. https://t.co/ca0M8CpqRF

The U.S. is increasing the number of troops deployed to Taiwan as the Pentagon redoubles efforts to help Taipei focus on tactics and weapons systems that would make the island harder to assault https://t.co/QRSdm9eklb via @WSJ this in the media likely forces Beijing to respond… https://t.co/qLv9ISwhST

This is the kind of calculated risk we should be taking on Taiwan. We should be ready to tick off Beijing *but for measures that strengthen Taiwan%27s defense.* We should avoid symbolic provocations while we are still vulnerable and building our strength. https://t.co/1n4vsRdb0r
